Surf rolls to top of Mite Club standings

Five players got into the scoring act and the Surf went to the top

of the Mite Club Division heap by winning the division championship

following an 11-4 victory over the Sabres at Coast 2 Coast Inline Hockey

Center in Huntington Beach.

Kevin Lachman, Kevin Tanaka, Chad Ramsey, Ryan Doyle, and David Woods all

scored twice, and Michael Burkhardt added a single goal to complete the

Surf’s scoring onslaught. Assists went to Tanaka, Ramsey, Lachman, Doyle,

and Dustin Nowick.

Both Cody Camrin and Adam Springer scored twice, and goalie Ryan

Espinoza turned away 20 shots to pace the Sabres.

PEE WEE CLUB DIVISION

Jedi Knights 4, Burnt Biscuits 3

The Jedi Knights won the division title behind a balanced scoring attack

that featured single goals by Kevin Adams, Kevin Fisher, Sawyer Stephens,

and Scotty MacNair, and assists went to Fisher (2), MacNair, and Wes

Garlick.

Jeff Sterling, Ryan Kokubun, and Ryan Williams all scored for the

Burnt Biscuits, with both Kokubun and Matt Kurokawa each getting an

assist.

ATOM CLUB DIVISION

LBZ 7, Vipers 3

Behind the three-goal scoring of Tyler Ruiz, LBZ won the Atom Club title.

The winners also received two goals from Nick Dlugosz, single goals by

both Donald Kohler and Michael Mendez, and two assists from Paul

Anderson.

Rocco Grimaldi, Jeffrey Kurokawa, and Stephen Nelson all scored for the

Vipers.

SQUIRT CLUB DIVISION

Pipeline 6, Prowlers 2

Matthew Steinbeck scored three goals, Tim Kraus, Tyler Bixman, and Brian

McShane each scored once, and Kraus added a pair of assists to lead

Pipeline to the division championship; both Tanner Riley and Richard

Leitner scored, and both Leitner and Dustin Fair picked up assists for

the Prowlers.
