COSTA MESA

* Bristol Street: A burglary in the 300 block was reported at 1:22 p.m.

Monday.

* 19th Street: A petty theft in the 600 block was reported at 4:40 p.m.

Monday.

* Baker Street: A peace officer was assaulted in the 1300 block at 9:27

p.m. Monday.

* Magellan Street: A burglary in the 900 block was reported at 3:10 a.m.

Monday.

NEWPORT BEACH

* Anade Avenue: Boogie boards and swimming fins worth $340 were stolen in

the 300 block before 5:14 p.m. Sunday. The fins were later recovered.

* Via Lido: Two paintings worth $2,949 were stolen during open hours at

an art gallery in the 3000 block at about 3:30 p.m. Saturday as an

employee was distracted by three customers.

* West Coast Highway: Electronic equipment worth $1,535 was removed from

a boat and stolen in the 2500 block overnight Thursday before 9 a.m.

Friday.
