Cross Country: Estancia splits with University
IRVINE - It came down to the wire, but in the end, Humberto Rojas
edged teammate Mike Casillas by a step for individual honors as Estancia
High posted a 15-50 drubbing of University High Thursday at Mason Park.
Both Rojas and Casillas finished at 16:41, with Luis Segoviano right
behind at 16:42 and Danny Bargas at 16:43 for the Eagles in their Pacific
Coast League opener.
On the girls side, Liz Huipe was the top Eagles runner, taking third
place at 18:53, behind Charlotte Manafran (18:28) and Alexandra Howard
(18:29) of University as the Trojans defeated Estancia, 18-40.
The Eagles will host Corona del Mar Thursday at 3:15 p.m.
