CdM wins in impressive fashion

NEWPORT BEACH - Corona del Mar High’s girls golf team turned in one

of it’s best performances of the year against Woodbridge Thursday by

taking a convincing, 123-140, lead at the Newport Beach Country Club,

par-35, in the first half of the 18-hole match.Allison Schauppner shot an

impressive 38 to lead all golfers. Taylor McCormick shot 40, and sisters

Kristin and Jackie McCoy put up scores of 45 and 49, respectively. In the

alternate slot, Mijanou Pham shot a 47.

The two teams will complete the match on Oct. 20 at Strawberry Farms in

Irvine. The Sea Kings’ next match is against Laguna Beach at Aliso Creek

Sept. 28.
