Girls tennis: CdM doubles up Sunny Hills
FULLERTON - Corona del Mar High’s Ann Yelsey and Nicole Charney
swept through their doubles matches to lead the Sea Kings to a 12-6
nonleague victory over host Sunny Hills Wednesday.
Yelsey and Charney won, 6-0, 6-1, 6-0, for the Sea Kings (2-3).
On the singles’ side, Nadia Vaughn and Leslie Damien each won two of
three sets for CdM. Sunny Hills falls to 3-2.
Next up for the Sea Kings, they travel to Capistrano Valley High for a
3 p.m. match today. GIRLS TENNIS

SINGLES - Vaughan (CdM) lost to Kao, 6-7, def. Kangwaky, 6-0, def.
Shih, 6-0; Damien (CDM) lost 1-6, won 6-3, 6-0; Bryan (CdM) lost 0-6,
4-6, won 6-3.
DOUBLES - Yelsey-Charney (CdM) def. Williams-Daily, 6-0, def. R.
Kangwaky-Cabanillo, 6-1, def. Lang, Sarshidi, 6-0; Fuller-Tenerelli
(CdM), lost 4-6, won 7-6, 6-3; Claster-Minna (CdM) lost 3-6, won 6-0,
6-2.
