Women’s soccer: OCC beaten by El Camino

TORRANCE - Orange Coast College’s women’s soccer team scored first,
but El Camino College scored last in Wednesday’s 3-1 win over the
visiting Pirates.
Diane Meza gave the Pirates (2-6-1) an early 1-0 lead, but El Camino
scored the next three goals to put the game away.
Barbara Gallella ha two goals and Nuria Vanegas added another goal for
El Camino (9-0).
Amanda Bell had 10 saves in goal for OCC, while Chrissa Gaitan had
five saves for the Warriors.
Next up, OCC kicks off its Orange Empire Conference schedule on the
road Friday against Santa Ana. Game time is 3 p.m.
