back to CdM ... defensive linemen Jason Kurtz and Elliot Patterson had

big hits on Akins.

Costa Mesa - Shaun Ferryman blocked two punts, returning one 19 yards

down to Bolsa Grande’s 1-yard line and had a big hit on quarterback Alex

Guadarrama ... Safety Willy Franco had three big hits throughout the game

... Defensive end Todd Duddridge had back-to-back quaterback sacks ...

Alvin Nguyen blocked a field-goal attempt ... Defensive back Jake

Cleveland had a fourth-quarter interception ... Outside linebacker

Estancia - Marshall Hendricks (two), Andy Romo and Fahad Jahid all had

interceptions and Hendricks, Romo, Freddy Rodriguez and John Alderete had

near-picks ... Hendricks, a cornerback, made a big hit to stop receiver

on the 1 and Jahid stuffed the subsequent goal-line run for 1-yard loss

... Josh Veach and Ivan Garcia had quarterback sacks ... Kyle Westman

Newport Harbor - Middle linebacker Alan Saenz shadowed Marina fullback

times. He also recovered a fumble ... Noseguard Andy Kalanz recovered a

muffed punt and forced an errant conversion kick with a big rush ...
