After having fought to a 2-2 tie through regulation play Wednesday,

the Hornets and Sharks still couldn’t determine a winner in overtime as

the two teams ended up in a 4-4 deadlock in Norris Division action at

Coast 2 Coast Inline Hockey Center in Huntington Beach.

In regulation, both Douglas Wedel and Andrew Richardson scored for

the Hornets (5-3-2), and Jamie Schlegel scored both goals for the Sharks

(1-8-1). The overtime session saw Richardson score again, and Michael

Kelley both score for the Hornets, while both Shea Doyle and Keith

Dickson scored goals for the Sharks.

In Adams Division play:

Red Wings 4, Killer Bees 3

In four previous meetings with the division-leading Killer Bees,

the Red Wings had been outscored, 31-6, but turned the tables in the

final regular-season meeting between the two teams. It was the second

consecutive loss for the Killer Bees, who fell to 9-2. The Red Wings

improved to 4-7.

Hurricanes 2, Termites 2

It was the second tie in four meetings between the two clubs, who

enter the playoffs this weekend. The Termites, who own a 2-0-2 record

against the Hurricanes, wrapped up the regular season in second place

with a 4-5-2 record. The tie put the fourth-place Termites at 3-6-2.
