Ruth Mae Stockstill January 22, 1925 - March 4, 2014
Ruth Mae (Heinlein) Stockstill of Mission Viejo passed away on March 4, 2014 with her granddaughter Catherine and her son Raymond by her side.
Ruth was born in Cincinnati on January 22, 1925. She attended Ohio State University where she met her husband Dr. Raymond Stockstill. They were married in the Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority house on July 20th, 1946 and settled in the greater Cleveland area.
Ruth was a strong modern woman. She raised 2 children, was a fashion model, worked as a buyer for a department store, founded a ceramic business and founded a home building company on Hilton Head Island before retiring in 1994 because of Parkinson’s Disease. Ruth moved to Newport Beach in 1995 to be closer to her 3 grandchildren; Elizabeth Carter, Catherine Diane and Raymond Winters (Beau) lV.
Ruth is predeceased by her parents, Myrtle and Jack Heinlein, and her husband Raymond Winters Stockstill II. She is survived by her daughter Bonnie Stockstill Jones, her son Raymond Winters Stockstill III and her daughter-in-law Meggen Carter Stockstill, her three grandchildren Libby, Cate,
Beau and their spouses Alexey, Daniel and Jessica and her three great grandchildren Abigail, Oliver and Luke.
Ruth will be buried with her husband Raymond in Beaufort National Cemetery in Beaufort, South Carolina near their beloved Hilton Head Island.
