Students form a human wave at Huntington State Beach to promote clean water
Hundreds of students congregated at Huntington State Beach on Thursday morning to pick up trash and promote clean water for the 25th anniversary of Kids Ocean Day.
Students removed more than 230 pounds of trash. They also gathered to spell out the message “Make waves” and form a character riding a wave.
This event was one of six of Kids Adopt-A-Beach cleanups presented by Costa Mesa-based environmental group Orange County Coastkeeper and the California Coastal Commission.
