Newport bar hoppers help in search for cystic fibrosis cure

Newport Beach pub crawlers made the rounds Saturday to benefit the Orange County chapter of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation in the quest for a cure for the genetic lung disease.

Participants in the annual Winter Bar Crawl for a Cause visited Malarky’s Irish Pub, Stag Bar + Kitchen, Baja Sharkeez and Blue Beet for drink specials, free food, live music, a raffle and other activities, such as a photo scavenger hunt and a contest to get the most-liked photo on Instagram chronicling the event.
