St. Joachim Catholic Church in Costa Mesa is hosting its annual Harvest Festival from Friday through Sunday.

The free event at the Eastside church, 1964 Orange Ave., includes a rummage sale, food, rides, raffles and live entertainment.

Proceeds benefit the parish’s youth programs, including its annual Big Bear retreat, where students have the opportunity to escape their normal lives and reflect on their faith, family and friends, according to a news release.

“Many of these teens and their parents don’t have the means to fund their trip to Big Bear, so as a community we support them with this sale,” St. Joachim youth group minister Alex Frausto said in a statement. “It’s a fun volunteer experience and a chance to meet so many members of Newport Beach and Costa Mesa. We know it means a lot to the teens to go on the Big Bear trip, and it pays off when they return home with warm hearts for their family and friends and their own futures.”

The festival goes from 5 to 9:30 p.m. Friday, 2 to 9:30 p.m. Saturday and 1 to 9 p.m. Sunday.

The rummage sale hours are 3 to 9 p.m. Friday, 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday.
