Scarecrow festival scares up fun in Costa Mesa
Vintage fall-themed fun came to Costa Mesa’s Fairview Park on Saturday, with the revival of the Scarecrow and Pumpkin Festival, organized by the Orange County Model Engineers and other groups.
The festival, now in its third year, featured homemade scarecrows that were judged. The winners will be announced Sunday.
The festival originally ran in Costa Mesa from 1938 to 1941. It was revived in 2013, for the city’s 60th anniversary.
