Kids and kayaks rule the day at Big Brothers Big Sisters event

About 200 “Littles” and “Bigs” from throughout Orange County paddled kayaks, boats and boards on Newport Beach’s Back Bay on Saturday at the Big F.U.N. Kayak Day, presented by Big Brothers Big Sisters of Orange County.
The event at Newport Dunes Waterfront Resort was part of the Big F.U.N. (Fitness, Understanding, Nutrition) program, a summerlong series of events sponsored by UnitedHealthcare to encourage healthy habits among children in Big Brothers Big Sisters.
Besides kayaking, events included volleyball, Frisbee, lawn games and more.
