Homeless man stabbed in Costa Mesa’s Talbert Park

A homeless man was stabbed in Costa Mesa’s Talbert Park on Thursday evening, authorities said.

Costa Mesa police responded at about 5:30 p.m. to reports of a man with a stab wound in the park in the 1200 block of Victoria Street.

The man was stabbed once with an unknown weapon and suffered non-life-threatening injuries, police Sgt. Stephanie Selinski said.

Further details were not immediately available. The Police Department is continuing to investigate, Selinski said.
