Ex-Ducks and Kings player Dustin Penner lists his Balboa spot for $2.2 million
NHL free agent forward Dustin Penner, who was a Stanley Cup winner with the Anaheim Ducks and the Los Angeles Kings, has listed his Newport Beach home for sale at $2.2 million.
Sited half a block from the beach on the Balboa Peninsula, the East Coast-inspired home features open-area public rooms, a large master suite and a rooftop deck with a hot tub panoramic ocean views.

Two floors of living include a center-island kitchen with a breakfast bar, a formal living room, three bedrooms and 3.5 bathrooms. Hardwood floors and raised ceilings are a common theme throughout the 2,000 square feet of living space.
On the main floor, French doors open to a front porch/patio set within a stone entry wall. A balcony extends off of the second story.
Penner bought the house in 2008 for $1.875 million, property records show.
Chenar Khan of Sotheby’s International Realty is the listing agent.
Penner, 32, last appeared in the NHL during the 2013-14 season, suiting up for 49 games with the Ducks before finishing the year with the Washington Capitals following a deadline trade.
The nine-year veteran began his career with Anaheim, winning a title with the team in 2007. He won a second championship as a member of the Kings in 2012.
