Fire on Irvine’s Blaze street damages home; 1 resident hurt
A fire at a home on a small Irvine street called Blaze displaced two people and caused hundreds of thousands of dollars in damage Sunday afternoon, according to authorities.
More than 30 firefighters responded to the flames in the 100 block of Blaze and had the situation under control in 30 minutes, according to the Orange County Fire Authority.
One resident was hurt escaping from the home, but the injury was minor, officials said.
Investigators determined that the fire was sparked by an electrical accident. It caused $300,000 in damage to the home and $100,000 in damage to the home’s contents, according to authorities.
