Man arrested after two men suffer cuts at soup kitchen
The Costa Mesa Police Department arrested a man Friday who they said was involved in an attack on two other men at Someone Cares Soup Kitchen.
Officers responded to a call at 12:08 p.m. reporting a “stabbing” at the Costa Mesa soup kitchen.
But police said the victims were not stabbed but suffered non-life-threatening lacerations from an unknown weapon.
One man sustained a minor laceration to his chin while the other had a cut on his arm. One victim was treated on the scene by paramedics, the other was taken to a hospital.
Officials could not confirm what initiated the dispute but said there is an ongoing investigation.
