Man’s body found at Irvine construction site

Authorities are investigating the death of an unidentified man after his body was found face-down at an Irvine construction site early Friday.

Employees arriving at the site at about 5 a.m. discovered the body in a remote area near Wolf Trail and Orchard Hills near Irvine’s Northwood community.

The man is described as being in his 20s, between 5-feet-10-inches and 6-feet-1-inch tall and weighing 200 pounds. He was wearing dark jeans, a black-and-white checkered shirt, a black undershirt, and black-and-red Nike shoes, said Farrah Emami, Irvine Police Department spokeswoman.

Police are investigating the matter as a suspicious death case, according to an Irvine police news release.

No other details were immediately available.
