Man sought in attempted robbery of Denny’s in Costa Mesa
Costa Mesa police are looking for a man who tried to rob a Denny’s restaurant at gunpoint early Thursday.
The man walked into the diner on Harbor Boulevard near the 405 Freeway about 2:45 a.m. and brandished a black handgun, Sgt. Stephanie Selinske said.
He eventually fled out the front door without taking anything, police said.
Authorities described the man as black, 20 to 30 years old, 6 feet tall and about 190 pounds.
