Radio-controlled planes and cars, not just drones, star at hobbyists’ expo

With drones a big part of the news of late, visitors to the RCX Radio Control and Hobby Expo had the chance to learn more about unmanned aircraft on Saturday and Sunday at the OC Fair & Event Center in Costa Mesa.

Though they didn’t get to control the types of drones the U.S. military uses in airstrikes, guests at the 13th annual event could see and try their hand at radio-controlled helicopters, planes, race cars and other devices.
