Easter egg hunt delivers on sights and sounds
About 50 visually impaired students searched for colorful eggs during a pre-Easter celebration at the Newport Dunes Waterfront Resort on Friday morning.
The eggs were equipped with beepers to provide the 3- to 6-year-olds with auditory clues to their location.
The Newport Beach resort has partnered with the Santa Ana-based Blind Children’s Learning Center for 15 years to enable visually impaired kids to experience the tradition of hunting for Easter eggs.
The students at Friday’s event also decorated Easter baskets and visited with the Easter Bunny.
