Mayor rolls out Easter celebration in Newport

Easter celebrations will come a little early this year in Newport Beach.

Mayor Ed Selich will host the first Mayor’s Spring Egg Roll from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday on the Civic Center lawn at 100 Civic Center Drive.

The free event will feature an egg roll that mirrors the classic game that occurs each year on the White House lawn, as well as crafts, a magic show, train rides, face painting and a visit from the Easter Bunny.
