City seeks members for various commissions
Newport Beach is accepting applications to fill vacancies on seven city boards and commissions.
One seat is available on the Harbor Commission, two seats are available on the Parks, Beaches and Recreation Commission and three seats are up for grabs on the Planning Commission.
In addition, two seats are available on the Board of Library Trustees, one seat on the Building and Fire Board of Appeals, one seat on the City Arts Commission and one spot on the Civil Service Board, which provides advice to the council on personnel matters.
The seats will become vacant when the existing terms expire on June 30. The city will be accepting applications to fill the positions until 4 p.m. on May 13.
Applicants must live in Newport Beach and cannot hold any paid office or be currently employed by the city.
