Harbor Trinity Church ransacked, cash taken, police say

A Costa Mesa church was ransacked and an undisclosed amount of cash was stolen overnight, police said.

Police responded to a call at about 7 a.m. Wednesday from Harbor Trinity Church, 1230 Baker St., said Lt. Greg Scott.

The church was ransacked and, in addition to cash, items were stolen, Scott said.

No one was in the church overnight when police believe the theft occurred. The investigation is continuing.
