Three arrested at DUI checkpoint
Three people were arrested last week at a DUI checkpoint on Harbor Boulevard on suspicion of driving drunk, Costa Mesa police announced Monday.
The checkpoint, set up from 8 p.m. to 2 a.m. Friday at Harbor and Peterson Place, resulted in 542 vehicles being screened.
Sixteen other drivers were cited for various violations, including driving without a license and driving with a revoked or suspended license.
Eight vehicles were stored or impounded.
A state grant paid for the checkpoint.
