Family Resource Fair to offer special-needs information
The public is invited to learn about resources available to children, particularly those with special needs, from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday at Estancia High School in Costa Mesa.
More than 50 organizations and service providers are set to participate in the Family Resource Fair, which will offer information about programs for children with autism, Down syndrome and other conditions. Participating organizations include Latino Health Access, Ability First and the Intellectual Disabilities Program at Coastline Community College in Fountain Valley.
The Newport-Mesa Unified School District will provide information about special-education programs. Child care will be available, along with arts and crafts activities.
The event is organized by Newport-Mesa’s Community Advisory Committee, made up of parents, teachers and school administrators.
