Missing Newport woman found at Huntington Beach hotel
A 56-year-old Newport Beach woman whose family reported her missing last month was found Sunday at a Huntington Beach hotel, authorities said.
Nancy Ann Wall’s mother, who lives in Los Angeles, reported her missing when Wall disappeared after being discharged from Hoag Hospital on Dec. 18, according to Newport Beach police.
Around 5 p.m. Sunday, paramedics responded to the Shorebreak Hotel in Huntington Beach, where Wall reported having trouble catching her breath, said Officer Jennifer Marlatt, spokeswoman for the Huntington Beach Police Department.
Wall was taken to Hoag Hospital, where staff discovered she was a missing person, Marlatt said.
A Newport Beach police officer spoke to Wall at the hospital on Monday. She seemed to be well taken care of and didn’t report anything unusual about the circumstances of her disappearance, said Jennifer Manzella, spokeswoman for the Newport Beach Police Department.
“She was voluntarily staying at that hotel in Huntington Beach,” Manzella said.
