Search still on for Irvine woman missing near Big Bear
More than two dozen search and rescue personnel and volunteers continued combing the woods around Big Bear on Tuesday for an Irvine woman reported missing last week.
Lisa Ann Cimbaluk, 35, was reported missing by her family on Dec. 30, according to the Irvine Police Department.
Early Sunday, the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department located Cimbaluk’s snow-covered vehicle by the Woodland Trailhead in Fawnskin. Sheriff’s search and rescue personnel searched Monday after searching Sunday until 7:30 p.m., according to a statement issued by the sheriff’s department.
On Tuesday, authorities were searching the North Shore parking lot and Woodland Trailhead, according to the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department.
Authorities said Monday that they were “very concerned” because of low overnight temperatures. Temperatures dropped below freezing Sunday night, according to the National Weather Service.
No signs of foul play have been reported, authorities said.
Cimbaluk was last seen at her Irvine home the morning of Dec. 29. She is described as 5 feet 5 inches tall, with brown hair and blue eyes.
