Food bank’s auxiliary group plans Oct. 7 fundraiser
The women’s auxiliary group Harvesters is planning a runway fashion show and luncheon Oct. 7 to raise money for the Second Harvest Food Bank of Orange County.
Check-in for the 23rd annual event is set for 9:30 a.m., and the fashion show will follow at 11:15 a.m., at the Segerstrom Center for the Arts. The event will begin with a silent auction and Jaeger-LeCoultre Champagne reception, followed by a runway presentation of luxury fashion retailers sponsored by South Coast Plaza. Salvatore Ferragamo, Valentino and Versace will be among the showcased designers.
A luncheon will immediately follow, and the benefit will end with an after-party at the Center Club.
Since 1992, Harvesters has presented fashion shows and shopping experiences that generate funds for Second Harvest Food Bank. The food bank feeds more than 200,000 people in Orange County monthly, its organizers say.
Tickets are $300. The Segerstrom Center for the Arts is at 600 Town Center Drive, Costa Mesa. The Center Club is at 650 Town Center.
