Irvine Spectrum to host back-to-school festival

The Irvine Spectrum Center will celebrate the back-to-school shopping season by presenting the Endless Summer Festival, an event featuring fall fashion trends, activities and entertainment.

The festival, from 2 to 6 p.m. Saturday, will host YouTube style bloggers Maddi Bragg and Suede Brooks showcasing curated closets featuring the fall fashions.

Shoppers may participate in beauty seminars hosted by M.A.C., Laura Mercier, Smashbox and Fresh from 2:30 to 2:50 p.m. and 4:30 to 4:50 p.m. at Nordstrom Beauty Lounge.

The event will also feature a braid bar, a flash tattoos station, complimentary Giant Wheel rides, a potted-succulent decoration station and a photo booth outfitted with a VW bus.

Local rock band The Brevet will perform from 3 to 5 p.m.

The first 500 customers who redeem $250 in accumulated receipts from qualifying Irvine Spectrum Center stores on Saturday will receive a $50 shopping center gift card.
