Hungry? Newport’s Restaurant Week offers special menus through Feb. 1
Diners can dig into special menus at 63 restaurants during Dine Newport Beach Restaurant Week, which runs Monday through Feb. 1.
The ninth annual event will offer prix fixe menus with lunches from $10 to $25 and dinners from $20 to $50.
Participating restaurants include fine-dining establishments such as Five Crowns and Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse & Wine Bar, along with neighborhood favorites such as The Bungalow and The Village Inn.
“This showcase allows the restaurants to gain interest from the community and refresh the experience diners can expect in each establishment,” Dan Miller, owner of Balboa Island’s Village Inn, said in a statement.
His restaurant’s $40 dinner menu offers three courses including a beet and goat cheese salad or tomato soup, spring pork chops or blackened swordfish and strawberry shortcake.
A Restaurant will offer a $50 menu with courses including duck liver pate, Scottish salmon and baked hot chocolate.
Other Restaurant Week options will include lunch at Fashion Island establishments Lark Creek (steak gaucho salad and ahi poke) and Fig & Olive (salmon tartar and lobster bisque).
No tickets, passes or coupons are required for Restaurant Week, according to Dine Newport Beach, the marketing arm of the Newport Beach Restaurant Assn. Menus are available at dinenb.com.
