Dubrow, Sharon Bruns
The Rose of Sharon was born on February 3, 1928 in Garden Grove. She died on June 30, 2011 in Corona del Mar.
Sharon graduated from Beverly Hills High School in 1949. She entered USC as a math major and was elected the shy president of her sorority Alpha Gamma Delta. She graduated with honors and a teaching credential in 1950.
In August 1950, she married Bruce Dubrow, the love of her life. In 1964, they moved to Newport Beach where they spent many happy years.
After her divorce in 1983, Sharon became a world traveler, avid tennis player and accomplished artist, always dedicating her time and talents to children.
She is survived by her daughters Brynn and Dana and her twin granddaughters Camilla and Isabella.
Sharon will be remembered as a dear, empathetic friend, a virtuous woman and a loving mother and grandmother.
A celebration of her life will be held at St. Andrews Presbyterian Church in Newport Beach on Friday, September 9th at 2pm.
