Daniel Brigham Jr. passed away peacefully at Hoag Hospital on January 10, 2015. Dan was born in St. Paul, Minnesota on December 24, 1927, to Daniel and Constance Brigham Sr. He attended high school at the Army and Navy Academy in Carlsbad, CA, , served in the Armed Forces, and graduated from Occidental College (class of ’50).

Dan and Louise Grout were married for 62 years, living 23 years in San Marino with their three daughters Connie, Cindy and Libby, before moving to Corona Del Mar in 1974.

Dan continued his father’s insurance business as an agent with Northwestern Mutual Life Insurance and only recently retired. Dan was active in his community and served on the Boards of the Army Navy Academy, Planned Parenthood, and the Huntington Medical Research Institute of Pasadena.

Everyone who knew Dan knows how he loved music and enjoyed singing. His greatest joy was breaking out in song with family and friends, every family celebration was not complete without a solo. He particularly enjoyed his involvement with the Pasadena Maestros.

Surviving Dan are his wife, Louise, his sisters Betsy Tarbell and Judy Brigham, daughters Cindy (Robert Hambleton), Connie (Mike Markovich), and Libby (Jim Huyck). The eight grandchildren are Lindsey MacFarlane, Rob Hambleton, Courtney Hambleton, Charles Hambleton, Brent Belote, Zach Markovich, Nathan Markovich, Jen Huyck and four great grandchildren.
