On Sunday, the Irvine chapter of the National Charity League will host its annual fashion show and fundraising luncheon at the Balboa Bay Club.

Juniors from University, Woodbridge and Mater Dei high schools will be modeling the fashions from Orange County retailers such as Patina, Cache, DNA Couture and Macy’s Fashion Island during a runway presentation, which will be followed by a live auction.

Some of the items on the auction block include a Bulgari timepiece, a gourmet evening prepared by the Charlie Palmer executive chef and a two-night package for the Resort at Pelican Hill.

Over the past nine years, the National Charity League chapter in Irvine has raised almost $300,000 for the American Red Cross, Families Forward, Human Options, Irvine Meals on Wheels, Irvine chapter of the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure and many other charities.

The organization, which has chapters all across the U.S., aims to bring mothers and daughters together through community service, leadership development and cultural experiences.
