Man reported as missing found in Laguna Beach
A Laguna Beach man reported missing two weeks ago after leaving a Newport Beach hospital has been found at a board-and-care facility, a Laguna Police Department official said Monday.
Friends of Michael Arthur Green, 72, a retired UC Irvine professor, reported him missing after losing contact with Green more than two weeks ago, according to an article published by the Newport Beach Independent.
Green’s movements were tracked to Hoag Memorial Hospital Presbyterian, where he was discharged on June 27, however, hospital officials were unable to release any details regarding Green’s visit to the Newport hospital due to federal regulations.
Fearing the worst, friends filed a missing person report with city police and handed out flyers with Green’s photo around the Orange County area.
According to the Laguna Beach Police Department, Green was found safe and well at a board and care facility on July 8. He has no next of kin.
