Foul play not suspected in body found outside Pavilions
There were no apparent signs of foul play in the death of a 45-year-old man whose body was found in a vehicle in front of the Pavilions on the Balboa Peninsula, police said Thursday.
The cause of death is pending an autopsy from the Orange County Sheriff-Coroner’s office, said Newport Beach Police spokeswoman Kathy Lowe.
Lowe said a passerby discovered the body about 7:05 p.m. Tuesday. The witness noticed an unresponsive person in a vehicle parked in the lot at The Landing shopping center, near City Hall.
Firefighters responded and determined the man was dead. Newport Beach police arrived and saw no signs of foul play, Lowe said.
