Woman breaks leg at Pirates Cove

A woman fell and broke her leg at Pirates Cove in Corona del Mar, police said Tuesday.

Police received an emergency call at 10:05 p.m. Monday about a woman who had fallen on the rocks at the beach, Newport Beach Police Sgt. Steve Burdette said. The woman, who was accompanied by a man, was taken to Hoag Hospital.

The victim’s age was not immediately available.
