The city and urban planning firm MIG will host a public workshop on the Downtown Specific Plan update July 20 at the Laguna Beach Community & Susi Q Center.

The workshop is the latest in a series of outreach events to help the city and MIG revise the specific plan, which includes policies on land use, parking, mobility and design.

In November, the city closed a part of Ocean Avenue on a Saturday morning so the public could see what the street would look like with a bike lane, reconfigured parking spaces and seating areas.

Participants at the next workshop, which begins at 6 p.m., may provide input while learning about common themes gathered from previous workshops, such as the Ocean Avenue event.

The Susi Q is at 380 Third. St.
