Police Files for June 11
Myrtle Street: A hit-and-run was reported in the 400 block at 8:16 a.m. Monday. A truck reportedly hit a fire hydrant, and the driver fled the scene.
Laguna Canyon Road: A transient reportedly camped in the back of a parking lot near Victoria Skimboards in the 2900 block at 8:33 a.m. Monday.
Dumond Drive: A caller reported people smoking and drinking on Victoria Beach at 2:36 p.m. Monday.
Laguna Canyon Road: A vehicle burglary was reported in the 20600 block at 3:28 p.m. Monday. A caller reported that a passport and a laptop bag had been stolen from a Dodge Journey parked at the Pacific Marine Mammal Center.
Bluff Drive: A caller reported a 2004 Toyota Tundra truck was stolen in the 31500 block at 3:38 p.m. Monday.
Coast Highway: Petty theft was reported in the 31600 block at 3:55 p.m. Sunday. Four to five juveniles took several items from a thrift store.
Moss Street: Public intoxication was reported at Moss Street Beach at 4 p.m. Sunday. A group of juveniles reportedly urinated in public.
South Coast Highway: Petty theft was reported in the 1600 block at 5:24 p.m. Sunday. A housekeeper at the Best Western reported that her purse was stolen from the hotel office.
Cypress Drive: Petty theft was reported in the 200 block at 7:08 p.m. Sunday. A Mongoose Fling bike was reported stolen.
Sunset Avenue: Disorderly people were reported in the 31900 block at 7:43 p.m. Sunday. A caller said seven men were drinking and became rowdy in front of her property.
Park Avenue: Trespassing was reported in the 2100 block at 9:59 p.m. Saturday. A caller reported five juveniles were smoking marijuana at Thurston Middle School.
Summit Drive: A loud party was reported in the 700 block at 11:50 p.m. Saturday. A caller said the group of people may have smoked marijuana.
