Firefighters flip flapjacks for Memorial Day fundraiser
Laguna Beach firefighters and police will be flipping flapjacks in the Exchange Club’s annual Memorial Day breakfast Monday at Heisler Park.
Breakfast for $5 will be held from 7 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at the picnic area near the corner of Myrtle Street and Cliff Drive.
The breakfast is the Laguna Beach Exchange Club’s largest fundraiser. Proceeds are donated to child abuse prevention, as well as community and youth projects.
The club was instrumental in starting the Orange County Child Abuse Prevention Center.
The American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars will then hold a Memorial Day service at 11 a.m. at Monument Point in Heisler Park.
