City shares its compost

Forty tons of compost will be available for Laguna Beach residents at the city’s annual compost giveaway Saturday.

The giveaway will be held from 8 a.m. to noon in the Act V parking lot at 1900 Laguna Canyon Road.

Limited quantities of bagged compost, provided by disposal company Waste Management, will be available to residents using the drive-through service. Residents may also shovel the compost into empty sand bags themselves.

Bring gloves and shovels. Distributions will be on a first-come, first-served basis.
