The city has turned off the water for grass at the Old Top of The World Park, near Top of the World Elementary School, in response to Gov. Jerry Brown’s recent mandated water restrictions in the face of a drought.

Designing of the park renovation will begin soon. The focus will be on plants and landscaping that require little to no water, according to a news release.

The renovation is expected to occur during the summer of 2016.
