A public workshop to discuss a sidewalk extension meant to enhance safety on Temple Hills Drive will take place at 5 p.m. April 16, according to a news release.

The city wants residents’ feedback on the design of a 2,000-foot extension from Dunning to Palm drives.

“It’s a narrow street with fast-moving vehicles and a lot of obstacles,” Assistant City Engineer Mark Trestik said. “There’s a narrow walking path.”

The City Council approved the $580,000 project in June 2013, Trestik said.

The workshop will be held in the Laguna Beach Community & Susi Q Center, 380 Third St.
