Kids jump and dash at annual track meet

The city held its annual youth track-and-field meet Friday at Laguna Beach High School.

Students ages 7 to 14 participated in events like the long jump, high jump, and 50- and 100-meter dash. The top four finishers in each age division and event will be able to compete in the Orange County Track Meet, planned for early May.

Competitors must live in the city or within the Laguna Beach Unified School District boundary. Registration fees cover the costs of facility use and city staff who work the meet.
