Police to put on community bike rodeo March 22
Cyclists of all ages are invited to learn safety tips and put safe riding techniques into practice by navigating an obstacle course at a bike rodeo being organized by the Laguna Beach Police Department for March 22.
Participants can also have their bicycles and helmets inspected.
The free event will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at 551 Forest Ave., in front of the Pageant of the Masters. Separate stations will be set up to focus on individual aspects of safe biking.
In addition, the rodeo will feature free hot dogs, a raffle and a BMX stunt show by Robert Castillo’s BMX Freestyle Team.
All participants are required to complete a waiver before participating. It can be acquired at lagunabeachcity.net.
