Cliffs Inn to relaunch in April with new name and look
The Laguna Cliffs Inn will relaunch in April under a new name following a $1.5-million renovation, according to a news release.
Phoenix-based Classic Hotels & Resorts announced that the boutique hotel will relaunch as the Laguna Beach House on April 1. Classic Hotels, a luxury property management company, purchased the facility in May.
All 36 deluxe guest rooms and public spaces were redesigned to reflect the “carefree spirit” of the property’s beach town location, according to the release.
Succulents, vintage surf books, small handcrafted instruments, canvas totes and coastal-inspired accessories will be displayed throughout the guest rooms, with custom-made surfboards hanging over the beds, the release said.
The hotel, at 475 N. Coast Hwy., will also feature, just off the lobby, an all-new meeting space that can accommodate perhaps 15 people, depending on the setup.
The expanded pool area will feature casual lounge furniture and a fire pit. As with the facility’s sister property two blocks south, The Inn at Laguna Beach, the poolside shower is crafted out of custom-designed surfboards.
“With all of the exciting enhancements soon to be unveiled, it seemed appropriate to introduce the hotel’s new identity with a new name that speaks to its look and feel,”Matt Crow, Classic Hotels & Resorts CEO, said in the release. “We modeled the Laguna Beach House after your quintessential California beach cottage, right down to the textiles and tapestry.”
Rates will start at $197 and jump, during peak season, to $326.
