Police Files for Dec. 31

South Coast Highway: Petty theft was reported in the 1000 block at 11:53 a.m. Monday. A caller said his gym bag was stolen.

Balboa Avenue: A caller reported juveniles throwing rocks in Moulton Meadows Park at 9:34 p.m. Monday.

Shady Place: A caller reported that someone rummaged through two parked cars in the 28800 block at 10:25 a.m. Sunday.

Pacific Avenue: A caller reported two juveniles smoking from a bong in the 1200 block at 1:31 p.m. Sunday.

South Coast Highway: Petty theft was reported in the 600 block at 3:37 p.m. Sunday. Two pairs of sunglasses were stolen from Costa Azul Surf ‘N Paddle.

Ocean Way: Petty theft was reported in the 2100 block at 9:18 a.m. Saturday. Items were reported stolen from an unlocked car.

Treetop Lane: A caller reported two men skateboarding on lunch tables at Top of the World Elementary School, in the 21600 block, at 1:27 p.m. Saturday.

South Coast Highway: Petty theft was reported in the 800 block at 1:29 p.m. Saturday. A man reported his wallet and phone were stolen.

Mermaid Street and Glenneyre Street: A fight was reported at 11:21 p.m. Saturday. One man reportedly threw bottles at a car. Police called the incident “a family dinner that went sideways.”

Marine Drive: Petty theft was reported in the 1100 block at 9:16 a.m. Friday. A caller reported his wallet was stolen from inside a locked car.

South Coast Highway: Petty theft was reported in the 1100 block at 1:46 p.m. Friday. A jacket worth $450 to $500 was reported stolen.
