Saloon hosts Toys for Tots party

The Saloon at The Peppertree Lane will host its seventh annual Christmas party benefiting Toys for Tots from 6 to 10 p.m. Monday.

Admission will be one unwrapped new toy and will be exchanged for a ticket to an opportunity drawing, with an array of prizes including gifts from Peppertree Lane neighbors La Rue du Chocolat, Sutton Place and Watermarc Restaurant. Other prizes include a miniature BMW from Vrevier BMW, gift certificates from The Montage Beverly Hills and other local restaurants such as Sorrento Grille, Zoolu Café, Nick’s, Thai Brothers, Lumberyard, and 230 Forest. Also to be given away are multiple prizes rom Anheuser Busch. Additional raffle tickets will be available for purchase. The evening will feature hors d’oeuvres and drink specials and an appearance by Santa Claus.

The most needed gifts are for young people between the ages of nine and 14. The Saloon works with the U.S. Marine Corps and its Toys for Tots program, and several Marines will be in attendance to pick up and transport the toys to their distribution center.

Allen joins Showpros Group

Senior marketing executive Bruce Allen has joined the Showpros Group, a Laguna Beach-based national event production and creative agency serving corporations and nonprofits nationwide, as vice president of marketing and development.
