Erratic driving leads to arrest

A Menifee man was arrested on suspicion of heroin possession after being pulled over by Laguna Beach police for alleged reckless driving, speeding and weaving in and out of traffic at 10:22 p.m. Oct. 25 in the 200 block of South Coast Highway, Sgt. Louise Callus said.

Garrett Vincent Moorhouse, 23, was arrested after a search of his vehicle allegedly yielded three grams of heroin and syringes. He was held on $20,000 bail, according to police records.

Man says he was stabbed by drug dealer

A homeless man told Saddleback hospital employees at 12:11 p.m. Oct. 28 that he had been stabbed in Laguna Beach the night before by a heroin dealer, Callus said. The alleged incident took place on Forest Avenue. The dealer allegedly tried to stab the victim in the belly after the victim punched him in the neck to thwart the attack. The victim had a cut across the palm of one of his hands, Callus said.

Boys accused of using found credit card

Two Laguna Beach juvenile boys were arrested on suspicion of burglary, forgery and using an access card after one of their mother’s discovered a stolen credit card in her son’s possession, Callus said.

The victim had left her wallet on top of her car and driven away. It was found and turned into the police, but the credit card and a driver’s license were not in the wallet. The credit card was found later by the two juveniles, who allegedly used it at various shops in Laguna Beach and Costa Mesa, including a candy store. One of the boys’ mothers found receipts and brought the two boys to the police station, where they were booked. The incident was reported at 7:02 p.m. Saturday. The names of the suspects were not released because they are juveniles.

Two arrested in Ecstasy investigation

Laguna Beach Police detectives arrested two men Oct. 27 following an investigation into the alleged trafficking of Ecstasy, according to police.

The detectives arranged to meet with Gee Kim, 21, of La Palma and Dennis Oh, 21 of Anaheim at Cal State Fullerton to buy Ecstasy about 9 p.m., according to a news release. A search of Kim’s vehicle recovered 5,000 pills with an estimated street value of $50,000. The investigation is still on going, detectives said.

This is the second large-scale Ecstasy investigation and arrest by Laguna detectives, according to the release. In April, detectives arrested Carolyn Kim for possession of 2,000 Ecstasy pills for sale. There is no known familial relationship. Although, there is evidence to show that the two Kims know each other.
